BLANCHESTER — Jared Monhollen set a Blanchester High School record for hits in a career Monday in the Wildcats 16-0 win over Eastern Brown at Bott Field.
Monhollen had two hits, scored two runs and drove in two runs. The two hits gives him 99 and breaks a tie atop the BHS hit list with Alan Ledford and David Jackson.
The regular season win lifts the ’Cats to 14-8 on the year.
Blanchester will host either St. Bernard or Madeira 5 p.m. Wednesday in a Division III sectional tournament game.
Monhollen also picked up the win on the mound as he and Blake Baker combined to limit the Warriors to three hits. They struck out seven.
Jack Davidson had two hits and drove in three runs for Blanchester.
