AUSTINTOWN – Wilmington College senior Reid Delaney has earned postseason All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors.

Delaney, the Wilmington College Male Athlete of the Year, led the conference with 78 points and 31 assists. He finished third in the OAC with 47 goals.

“After having 47 goals and 31 assists and breaking three school records in one season, Reid deserves nothing less than All-OAC honors,” said Wilmington College head coach Bryan Habick. “He quarterbacked our offense from game one and helped us to become the team we are right now.

“With a new coach, Reid took on a lot of leadership duties and completely shattered the expectations. It’s not easy to be good at sports, or school; but to be good at both and have as much success as Reid has seen over the past year, I am extremely lucky to have had him in this program. He is going to do amazing things with the lessons that lacrosse has given him and we are all excited to have him as an alumni of Wilmington College.”

Delaney’s 121 goals are a Wilmington career record, while his 78 points this season are also a new school mark.

A four-year letterwinner, Delaney graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business management and economics, finishing with a 3.79 GPA. He is a three-time Academic All-OAC, the Scholar Athlete of the Month (April 2016), and was on the dean’s list in every semester.
