Hughes leads Falcons at Friendship Inv.

CEDARVILLE — The Clinton-Massie boys and girls varsity cross country teams competed Saturday in the Friendship Cross Country Invitational with Katie Hughes finishing 12th in the girls race.

Hughes was fifth in the Blue Division (smaller schools) and 12th out of 349 total runners in 20:45.

AJ Houseman was 49th in the Blue Division in 24:44.

For the boys, the Falcons were eighth in the Blue Division and 16th out of 24 schools overall.

Jacob Whitaker was 21st in the Blue Division in 18:54 and Alex Hudson clocked a season-best 19:09 and was 30th in the Blue Division.

Drew Keller ran 20:23 in his first race of the season while Noah Brausch ran a personal-best 20:45, Logan Fisher 21:30, Colin McDowell a personal-best 21:51, Brennen Swope 22:55, Jakob Meranda 22:56 and Talent Sagraves 23:23.
