BETHEL — The East Clinton boys and girls varsity cross country teams competed Saturday at the Bethel-Tate Cross Country Invitational.

For the boys, Thomas Wright was the first to finish, placing 61st in 21:16.53.

Nathan Crouch was 73rd in 21:52.46, Josh Jones 83rd 22:05.74, Elijah Howard 123rd 23:44.49 and Blake Bronson 139th 25:13.56.

As a team, the Astros were 16th overall.

Veronica Brewer was the first EC girl to cross the line, placing 60th in 28:28.4.

Alex Hughes was 67th in 29:33.21 and Shelby Williams 82nd in 30:37.09.
