The team of Gary Newbry, Billy Stephens and Dick Mitchener shot a 6-under par 29 Thursday and topped the field in the Community Golf League outing at the Elks 797 Golf Club.

The winners had birdies on Nos. 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9.
