Eades keys CM win on Senior Night

ADAMS TOWNSHIP — On Senior Night, Clinton-Massie edged Miami Trace 3-2 in South Central Ohio League tennis action on the CM courts.

Clinton Massie’s four seniors — Emma Bailey, Jordan Bills, Kelly Deatherage and Morghan Eades — and Miami Trace’s three seniors — Bethany Reiterman, Haylee Higgins, and Whitney Cockerill — were honored.

Eades was instrumental in securing the victory for the Lady Falcons as she rallied from a first set loss to post a 5-7, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) win in a match that lasted nearly three hours, CM coach Lynn Deatherage said.

The Lady Falcons swept the doubles matches, with Jordan Bills and Hailey Clayborn also winning in three sets, 4-6, 6-0, 6-3.

The doubles pairing of Emma Bailey and Claire Carruthers are now 13-4 overall and 8-3 in SCOL matches.

Clinton-Massie is 9-9 overall and 4-7 in the SCOL.
