Registration is open through Aug. 21 for the Wilmington City Parks and Recreation Department youth soccer leagues.

Children who this fall will be entering grades K-8 are eligible to play.

Registration received after Aug. 21 may be permitted to participate if space is available, however, a $10 late fee will be assessed. Online registration is available (http://bit.ly/fallsoccer2017). The link can also be found on the Wilmington OH Parks and Recreation Facebook page.

Matches for kindergarten through sixth grade are planned to be played on Tuesdays and Thursdays, depending on the number of teams. Matches for the seventh and eighth grade will be played on Saturdays. League play will begin Sept. 12, weather permitting. Practice schedules will be set by the athletic coordinator. Coaches are to contact players by Aug. 27.

Cost to participate is $30 for Wilmington residents; $15 for each additional child. Cost is $40 for those who live outside the city limits; $20 each additional child. Payment must be received by Aug. 21 for those prices. Payment received after Aug. 21 will be assessed a $10 late fee.

Registration and payment should be mailed to City of Wilmington Parks and Recreation, 69 N. South St., Wilmington or dropped off at the athletic coordinator’s office at J.W. Denver Williams Jr. Memorial Park. Make checks payable to City of Wilmington Parks and Recreation. There will be a $30 charge for returned checks.
