GREEN TOWNSHIP — The East Clinton boys golf team defeated Lynchburg 166 to 190 Wednesday at Snow Hill Country Club in a non-league match.

Jon Blair led the Astros with a 39 while Paul Luttrell and Cole Jenkins both shot 40s.

Ethan Cornwell had a 47 for EC while Brandon Michael came in with 56 and Shane Streber shot a 62.

Zach Blankenship of Lynchburg was the match medalist with a 2-over par 37 on the back nine.

Eric McLaughlin had 45 and Tennyson Cluff shot 43. Logan Dye came in with 65 and J.D. McConnaughy carded a 68.
