The Blanchester reserve girls soccer team tied Bethel-Tate 1-1 Wednesday evening.

Bethel-Tate jumped out to a 1-0 lead before Blanchester answered. Virginia Maloney volleyed a pass from Sally Schafer to the back of the net to tie the score 1-1.

Neither team scored in the second half.

Savana Shank and Schafer played well for Blanchester, coach Kurt Ballinger said.

Blanchester is 2-1-3 on the year.
