Thursday was a travel day for the Wilmington College men’s soccer team.

The team took a high-speed train from Madrid to Barcelona in the afternoon. The train averaged 120 miles per hour. It was a smooth ride and a great way to travel, WC head coach Bud Lewis said.

The team visited the world famous Prada Museum in Madrid before departing for Barcelona.

Led by Wilmington College art professor Hal Shunk, the team also took in the works of Renaissance artists El Grecco, Valesques and Bosch among others.

On Friday the WC men’s soccer team will visit FC Barcelona’s home stadium and will play its second match of the trip.
