Astros top divisional on home course; BHS gets first win

GREEN TOWNSHIP — East Clinton increased its National Division lead to 29 strokes Tuesday in the third divisional match in the Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference.

Playing on their home course, Snow Hill Country Club, the Astros topped the field with a 171 while Georgetown was runnerup with a 183.

The Astros now lead the G-Men in the National Division standings 531 to 560.

Blanchester picked up its first SBAAC National Division, posting four solid scores. Brian Miller led the Wildcats with a 48 while Connor Cook shot a 49, Ashlin Benne had 53 and Jacob Miller carded a 54.

Lance Sininger of Georgetown was again the medalist with a 3-over par 38.

For East Clinton, five golfers posted 46 or better, with Brendon Walters leading the way with a 41. Gage McConnahay had a 42 and Jacob Olds scored with a 43.

The SBAAC National Division will play at Deer Track Thursday beginning at 4 p.m.
