Registration continues through Monday for the Wilmington City Recreation Department youth soccer.

The program is open to boys and girls in kindergarten through 8th grade. Registrations received after Aug. 21 may be permitted if space is available and a $10 late fee will be assessed.

Matches for kindergarten through 6th grade are planned to be played on Tuesdays and Thursdays, depending on the number of teams. Matches for the 7th and 8th grade league will be played Saturday mornings. League play will begin Sept. 12, weather permitting. Practice schedules will be set by the athletic coordinator. Coaches are to contact players by Aug. 27.

Cost to play is $30 for Wilmington residents; $15 for each additional child in a family. Cost is $40 for residents outside the city limits; $20 for each additional child in a family.

Payment must be received by Monday. Any payments received after Monday will be assessed a $10 late fee.

Registration and payment should be mailed to City of Wilmington Parks and Recreation, 69 N. South St., Wilmington or dropped off at the athletic coordinator’s office at J.W.
