Falcons atop SBC divisional again; WHS second

BATAVIA — Clinton-Massie and Wilmington continue to duke it out at the top of the Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference American Division boys golf standings.

The Falcons posted their second divisional win Wednesday and the Hurricane finished second again in a match at Elks Run Golf Course.

Led by Keith Mineer, Clinton-Massie had a 167 total while the Hurricane came in with a 172.

In the season standings, the Falcons lead the Hurricane by seven strokes. The nearest competitor beyond the two Clinton County entries is 41 strokes back.

Mineer, the individual leader in the American Division through two divisionals, had a 3-over par 35 on Wednesday.

Max Carnevale shot a 42 and Cam Collett followed with a 43.

For Wilmington, Jack Murphy and Cameron Smart led the way with 41s.
