Astros hold solid lead after 4 rounds of SBAAC

BETHEL — With each match, the East Clinton boys golf team extends its lead in the Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference National Division standings.

Playing the 2,653-yard front nine at Colonial Pines Golf Course, the Astros shot a 153 while runnerup Georgetown had a 163.

East Clinton leads the league standings over Georgetown by 39 strokes.

Lance Sininger of Georgetown is the top individual at this point. He had a 4-under par 30 on Monday and leads Jacob Olds of EC by 27 strokes in the individual standings.

But East Clinton has the three individuals in the league. Brendon Walters was the team medalist with a 35 while Olds had a 37.

For Blanchester Jacob Miller had a 46 to lead the way. He eagled the first hole of the round, driving the ball off the tee to within six feet of the hole.
