The Clinton-Massie Middle School golf team opened its season Monday with a loss to Marysville Fairbanks 177 to 204 at The Greens of Fayette County Golf Course.

“This was the first time many of our players had ever played nine holes,” CM coach Phil Larrick said.

Ethan Johnson led the Falcons with a 44. Alex Crowe of Fairbanks was match medalist with a 41.

Also for Clinton-Massie, Bret Bailey 51, Jacob Schultz 59, Trayden Schumacher 57, Braeden Adams 59, Ben Smith 52, Jonathan Rumbarger 57, Alex Lazic 53, Brodie Green 56 and Jenna Earley 56.
