Massie volleyball opens year with win over EC

LEES CREEK — The Clinton-Massie volleyball team opened its season Thursday with a 25-23, 25-16, 25-17 win over East Clinton in a non-league match at the EC gym.

“All the girls played well,” CM coach Stephanie Reveal said. “We passed and moved the ball across the net very well for our hitters.”

Tyler Greathouse had eight points, five aces and five kills. Taylor Florea had 11 points, five aces and four kills. Haley Conley had four points, two aces, a kill and 12 assists. Faith Cottrell had two points, three kills and two blocks.

Rylee Richardson contributed two points, two kills and a block. Maddie Enright chipped in with five points, a kill and three digs. Ashlie Miller posted five points and five digs. Cadin Reveal had eight points, two aces, two kills and an assist. Kristen Hillman had three digs.

For East Clinton, Kenzie Campbell had two aces, four kills, a block and two digs. Kait Durbin recorded three blocks, three kills and two digs. Myah Jones had three assists, a block and three digs. Logan Peterman led with four assists and added a dig.

Paige Lilly had an ace, two kills and a dig. Victoria Jamison and Kayla Hall contributed one kill each. Sierra Christian had an ace and a dig. Kaitlyn Talbott had an assist and Lacey Peterman chipped in with a dig. Emma Malone had six digs to lead the team.
