McGraw benefit outing adds second tee time for Sept. 9 event

With such a high interest in the benefit golf event, a second tee time has been added to the Pus Gut Golf Scramble on Sept 9 at Snow Hill Country Club.

The scramble is being held to benefit Tim McGraw, who was recently diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome. It is an autoimmune disease that affects the nerves. It occurs in 1 in 100,000 people.

The outing will send golfers off in a shotgun start at 8 a.m. and then again at 1:30 p.m. Originally, the outing was scheduled for an 8:30 a.m. start.

At this time, the event has drawn interest from more than 26 foursomes.

Tim cannot walk or use his hands. Tim is in Miami Valley hospital and has been in the hospital for more than two weeks. He has a very long road ahead of him. He currently is not able to work and this golf scramble will help pay for medical bills and other costs.

Cost for the event is $65 per person which includes golf and lunch. Checks should be made payable to Tim McGraw. Donations can be made for McGraw through Peoples Bank, 1344 Rombach Ave., in care of the Friends of Tim McGraw fund.
