CM holds off WHS for volleyball win

ADAMS TOWNSHIP — After a fast start, the Clinton-Massie volleyball team had to hang on to defeat Wilmington 25-20, 25-12, 21-25, 20-25, 15-6 Tuesday night in a South Central Ohio League match at the Lebanon Road gym.

Paige Burton and Josie Wolfe served 23 points each for the Lady Falcons. Emilie Fisher, Tyler Greathouse and Haley Conley had 13 service points each.

Burton also had six blocks, four kills, four digs and three aces. Wolfe had nine digs and seven aces. Fisher had an assist and four aces. Greathouse posted six kills, seven blocks, 14 digs and two aces. Conley contributed two digs.

Ashley Marshall had three digs while Brooke Rose had a kill, three blocks and four digs. Nikki Settlemyre had a kill, two blocks and a dig. Julia Sowers had 10 digs and four aces. Johanna Theetge had 10 blocks at the net and a dig.
