GOSHEN — The Wilmington High School girls tennis ran into a strong Goshen team and came up on the short end of a 4-1 score in Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference American Division action.

“Extremely close match,” WHS coach Doug Cooper said. “It was one of our better outings and a lot closer than the score suggests. Goshen has a very good singles lineup. We played well on all singles courts and it was not enough.”

The lone WHS win came at first doubles where Zane Bekheet and Emma Schroeder picked up a 6-2, 6-1 victory.

“Zane and Emma played their best match together so far,” Cooper said.
