Blan stays unbeaten in National Division volleyball

The Blanchester varsity volleyball team defeated Felicity-Franklin 25-12, 25-22, 25-22 in a Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference National Division match Thursday night.

Blanchester is 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the National Division. Felicity is 0-5 overall, 0-2 in the division.

“The girls came out strong in the first game and then kind of mellowed out the second and third games,” BHS coach Jenna Weisflock said. “We fought through and pulled out the win and that’s all that matters at the end of the night.”

Shelbie Rose had four perfect passes, 17 assists and 15 service points. Asia Baldwin had four digs, nine perfect passes, nine kills and 12 points. Cheyenne Brown had a dig, three kills, a block and 12 points.

Casey Kingsland had four digs, four perfect passes, 10 assists, a kill, a block and 13 points. Ally Davis contributed a dig, nine perfect passes, seven kills and eight points.

Morgan Oberle had seven perfect passes, 14 kills, two blocks and nine points. Audrey Heitzman contributed a perfect pass and two points while Kassidy Abney had a dig and seven perfect passes.
