Woods, CNE girls will take big leads into SBAAC tournament

BETHEL – Clinton-Massie’s Gabby Woods solidified her hold on top individual honors in the Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference girls golf standings Monday afternoon at Colonial Pines Golf Club.

Woods was match medalist Monday with a 36 and leads the field by 21 strokes going into the 18-hole league tournament, which is set for Wednesday morning at the Elks 797 Golf Club.

In the team standings, Clermont Northeastern has a comfortable lead of 44 strokes over Clinton-Massie. Wilmington is a distant third.

For the Lady Hurricane, Heather Fryman posted the low score with a 44.

For East Clinton, Marci Ellis was the lone player and shot had a 63.
