The Clinton-Massie Middle School golf team had two matches last week against Middletown Christian.

The first match was Monday at Majestic Springs and it ended prematurely because of darkness.

CM coach Phil Larrick said there was one hole to play and Clinton-Massie’s Ethan Johnson had an eagle putt, Brett Bailey had a birdie putt and Ben Smith had a birdie putt.

On Thursday, Clinton-Massie defeated Middletown Christian 169 to 171 in a match held at The Practice Center in Franklin.

Alex Lazic, a seventh grader with Clinton-Massie, was the match medalist with a 36.

Bailey had a 42 and Johnson came in with a 46. Jonathan Rombarger had a 45, Braeden Adams 53 and Brodie Green 53.
