Wildcats roar in 9-0 win over Cardinals

BLANCHESTER – With five players scoring, the Blanchester boys soccer team defeated Felicity-Franklin 9-0 Thursday in SBAAC National Division action at Barbour Memorial Field.

Nevan Coyle tallied four goals for Blanchester, who is now 6-4 overall and 4-3 in the league.

The Cardinals drop to 1-8 overall and 1-6 in the National Division.

Topher Farrow had two goals and an assist for the Wildcats while Noah Armocida, Cameron Skidmore and Jasper Damewood scored one goal each. For Skidmore and Damewood, the goals were the first of their varsity careers.

Assists also were credited to Armocida, Brant Bandow, Cameron Gibson and Carter Stevens.

Jake Fischer earned his second shut-out of the season with nine saves in goal for Blanchester.

The Wildcats had 22 shots for the night.
