The Blanchester seventh and eighth grade volleyball teams swept matches Thursday from New Richmond.

The eighth grade posted a 17-25, 25-19, 26-24 victory.

Setter Taylor Combs led the Ladycats in points with an impressive 12 aces, five assists, three kills and two blocks. Madison Creager contributed two aces and six kills. Brooklyn Bockstiegel had three aces, four kills and a block. Rianna Mueller chipped in with three aces while Taylynn Barr had two aces and a kill. Emma Winemiller finished with three aces, Lacie Tedrick had two blocks, Makenna Maddix had two blocks, Autum Medley had one block and Sam Naylor posted one kill.

The seventh grade Ladycats were winners in three sets 24-26, 25-16, 25-14.

Ainsley Whitaker had 16 points and 11 aces. She also recorded a block. Summer Schutte, Hailey Mulvihill and Josee Wilson had seven points each – Mulvihill had four kills and a block. Makayla Lanham had four points and three aces. Mia Torres had three perfect passes out of the back row.
