BHS offense comes up big in 10-0 win

Blanchestesr built a 7-0 halftime lead and went on to defeat Felicity-Franklin 10-0 Thursday in a SBAAC National Division girls soccer match.

Winners of three straight matches, the Ladycats are now 4-5-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the National Division Felicity-Franklin is 0-10, 0-7.

Blanchester scored early as Tatum Kirby steered in a corner kick from close range in the first couple minutes of the match.

Sierra Drake then scored three goals in the first half while Taylor McQuitty added two and Emily Hinkle scored one off a penalty kick.

Brianna Haun assisted on Drake’s first goal of the match with a throw-in. McQuitty beat the Cardinals keeper with one-on-one moves to score her two goals.

Hinkle added another goal in the second half. Olivia Gundler and Savanna Shank both recorded their first career goals in the second half.

Assists were credited to Drake (two), Haun, Kirby, McQuitty, Shank, Hinkle and Kelsey Naylor.

Regan Ostermeier had two saves in goal and posted her third straight shutout for Blanchester.
