Win over BHS is 7th straight for EC volleyball

LEES CREEK – After a tight first set, the East Clinton volleyball team got things together and won its seventh straight match, 26-24, 25-17, 25-16 over Blanchester in a SBAAC National Division contest at the EC gym.

East Clinton is now 10-4 overall and 6-2 in the National Division. Blanchester is 5-4 in the conference.

“We started out slow with a lot of missed serves, but the girls pulled it together and finished in three,” EC coach Sarah Sodini said.

Kenzie Campbell had a great serving game and Emma Malone played well as libero, Sodini added. Campbell finished with eight aces, three kills and three digs. Malone had four aces and six digs.

Victoria Jamison had seven kills and two blocks at the net. Kaitlyn Talbott had two assists and Sierra Christian chipped in with one. Kayla Hall had an ace and a kill while Lacey Peterman contributed two digs.

Kait Durbin had three aces, six kills, a block and three digs. Paige Lilly finished with two aces, nine kills and three digs. Myah Jones had an ace and three assists. Logan Peterman had two aces, a kill, 15 assists and eight digs in the match.
