Harrell, Walters finish off EC 3-2 win

LEES CREEK – In a matchup of two even teams, the East Clinton tennis team outlasted Felicity-Franklin under the lights Thursday 3-2 in SBAAC National Division action.

Four of the five matches went to three sets.

East Clinton improves to 6-4 overall and 5-2 in the National Division. EC has won five matches in a row.

The pairing of Haley Harrell and Bella Walters posted a 7-5, 3-6, 6-2 win at first doubles to clinch the win for the Lady Astros.

Though the match started at 4:30 p.m., the closely-contested matches forced EC coach Doug Stehlin to turn on the lights to finish play at 8:30 p.m.
