Massie serves up 3-0 win over Blanchester

BLANCHESTER – The Clinton-Massie volleyball had its serve game on Monday in a 25-13, 25-16, 25-19 win over Blanchester in a non-league match at the BHS gym.

“The girls played well,” CM coach Stephanie Reveal said. “(They) did a great job on serving where we have been struggling.”

The Lady Falcons had eight service aces and just errors on the night. Reveal said Carly Moritz did a nice job in the middle for Massie.

Haley Conley had seven points, two kills, 29 assists, two aces and five digs. Taylor Florea recorded 11 points, three kills, four aces and five digs. Carly Moritz chipped in with 10 kills. Faith Cottrell had six points, five kills, two assists, an ace and two digs.

Tyler Greathouse had six points 11 kills, an assist and five digs. Rylee Richardson contributed nine points, 11 kills, an assist and a dig. Maddie Enright had a dig. Kristen Hillman had two digs. Ashlie Miller had four service points, two assists, an ace and 18 digs.

For Blanchester, Shelbie Rose had six digs, 12 points and 12 assists. Asia Baldwin finished with a dig, 12 perfect passes, six points, five kills and two blocks. Cheyenne Brown contributed three digs, four perfect passes, 11 points and five kills. Casey Kingsland recorded a dig and a perfect pass.

Ally Davis chipped in with three digs, two perfect passes, eight points and three kills. Morgan Oberle had two digs, eight perfect passes, a kill and five blocks. Audrey Heitzman totaled four perfect passes, five points, two kills and a block. Kassidy Abney had four perfect passes and Holly Scott had two points.

Clinton-Massie is now 8-7 on the year. They host Staff Appreciation Night Tuesday with a CM teacher or employee being honored. On Wednesday, it will be Senior Night at CMHS.

Blanchester is 8-9 on the year and will host Bethel-Tate on Wednesday.
