Lady Falcons scrappy in 4-set win over Lady Lions

ADAMS TOWNSHIP – Clinton-Massie put together a solid performance from beginning to end and defeated New Richmond 25-19, 25-23, 22-25, 25-23 in SBAAC American Division action at the Lebanon Road gym.

The Lady Falcons are 9-7 on the year and have won four of their last five matches. In the American Division, Massie is 4-3. New Richmond is 9-11 overall and 5-3 in the conference.

“The girls played hard from start to finish,” CM coach Stephanie Reveal said. “They played scrappy and didn’t give up.”

Reveal said Rylee Richardson played well at the net while Ashlie Miller and Tyler Greathouse both “had career highs in digs.”

Haley Conley had a team-best 42 assists to go along with eight points, two aces and eight digs. Taylor Florea had two points, nine kills, six digs and a block. Miller had five points, a kill, an assist and 41 digs. Greathouse finished with nine points, 11 kills, an assist, an ace and 22 digs. Cadin Reveal returned to the lineup and posted four kills and two blocks.

Richardson had nine points, 16 kills, three digs and two blocks. Faith Cottrell posted nine points, six kills, an assist and four digs. Maddie Enright had two points and nine digs. Carly Moritz had a kill, Kristina Hillman came up with five digs and Abbey Faucett had two kills, an assist and an ace.

On Tuesday, the volleyball team hosted Staff Appreciation night where each varsity and junior varsity team member invited a CM employee to the match to honor them.

“It was nice having the staff there and to let them know how much of an impact they have on the girls’ daily lives,” Reveal said.

The Lady Falcons will host their annual Senior Night event tonight.
