CMMS golfers close ‘17 with 3 wins in last 4

WEST JEFFERSON – The Clinton-Massie Middle School golf team defeated Madison-Plains 196 to 213 at National Road Golf Club last week to close out its 2017 season.

“The team was very inexperienced and made very noticeable improvements over the year,” CM coach Phil Larrick said. “Next year’s team will have nine returning players and should be very competitive.”

Clinton-Massie finished the season with a 4-4 record, winning three of its last four.

Ethan Johnson was the match medalist with a 45 at National Road.

Brett Bailey had a 46 and Alex Lazic shot a 51. Jonathan Rumbarger had a 54 and Trayden Schumacher shot a 58. Brody Green came in with a 60.
