East Clinton volleyball season ends in BHS tourney match

BLANCHESTER – The East Clinton volleyball season ended Wednesday with a 14-25, 16-25, 25-22, 13-25 loss to Summit Country Day in a Division III sectional matchup at the Blanchester High School gym.

“I cannot say enough about how amazing this group of girls is,” EC head coach Sara Sodini said. “We had a great season. It’s always tough to lose, but these girls have so much to be proud of.”

Kait Durbin finished with two aces, five kills, a block and nine digs in the match. Sierra Christian chipped in with a block while Kaitlyn Talbott and Lacey Peterman had one dig each. Kayla Hall had two aces and a dig. Logan Peterman posted an ace, two kills, 14 assists and 12 digs.

Emma Malone contributed two kills and eight digs. Paige Lilly had 10 kills and 20 digs while Myah Jones recorded five aces, three kills, eight assists and three digs. Victoria Jamison had four kills and three blocks. Kenzie Campbell had 10 kills and 17 digs.
