CM volleyball nets win over EC

LEES CREEK — The Clinton-Massie volleyball team played well at the net and defeated East Clinton 25-22, 25-21, 20-25, 25-18 Thursday in a South Central Ohio League match at ECHS.

Tyler Greathouse led the Lady Falcons at the net with 16 kills while Brooke Rose had 12 kills and Paige Burton ripped 11 kills.

“(Our) hitters had a great game; they played well at the net and our setters did a nice job getting them the ball,” said CM coach Stephanie Reveal.

Greathouse finished with 19 points, two aces and 20 digs. Haley Conley had 15 points, 21 set assists, one kill, one ace and one dig. Emilie Fisher had 14 points, a kill, two aces and 22 digs.

Rose contributed two digs while Burton’s final numbers were 13 points, three aces, five digs and one solo block. Julie Sowers had 19 set assists, seven digs and eight points. Josie Wolfe had five points, one kill, one ace and five digs.

Faith Cottrell had a kill and a dig. Taylor Florea had four kills and Johanna Theetge had a kill and a solo block. Nikki Settlemyre chipped in with a kill, seven assists and two solo blocks.
