Registration for the Wilmington City Parks and Recreation Department youth basketball season is underway for the upcoming season.

Registration is open through Nov. 13 for boys and girls in grades 3 through 6. Registration can be done on the Wilmington Parks and Recreation Facebook page or at the athletic coordinator’s office at J.W. Denver Williams Jr. Memorial Park or online at http://bit.ly/2018basketball.

Practices will begin the week of Dec. 4. Games will begin in January, with games being played on weeknights at Wilmington elementary schools. All games and practices will be cancelled when Wilmington City Schools are closed for the day.

Cost is $30 for Wilmington residents and $15 for each additional child. For residents outside the city limits, the cost is $40 and then $20 for each additional child. Payment must be received no later than Nov. 13. If received after Nov. 13, a $10 late fee will be assessed.

Registration and payment can be mailed to City of Wilmington Parks and Recreation, 69 N. South St., Wilmington or dropped off at the athletic coordinator’s office at the park. Make checks payable to: City of Wilmington Parks and Recreation. There will be a $30 charge for returned checks.
