Lady Falcons 8th, Lady ‘Cane 10th at Centerville Inv. at Poelking South

DAYTON – The Clinton-Massie girls were eighth and Wilmington 10th Saturday in the Centerville Invitational bowling tournament at Poelking Lanes South.

Clinton-Massie’s Ashley Gross was the top individual among the locals with a 511 (195, 169, 147) that was good enough for 25th. Wilmington’s Katie Hottinger was 27th with 492 (125, 179, 188).

The Lady Falcons finished with a 3,497 pinfall total while the Lady Hurricane finished with 3,137. The tournament consisted of three games of five individual bowlers and then 10 baker games.

Also for Clinton-Massie, Brittany Fry was 31st with 449 (155, 118, 176) and Emily Rager finished 33rd with 436 (163, 131, 142). Jennifer Callewaert was 35th with 431 (161, 144, 126). Ashley Murphy finished with 361 (124, 120, 117) and placed 40th.

For Wilmington, Sydney Shumaker followed Hottinger by finishing 38th with a 420 (151, 138, 131). Megan Brooks had games of 161 and 131 while Katy Allen had 131 and 123. Melanie Taylor finished with 120 and 127. Ariell Comburger had a 109 game.

Sub bowlers finished out the event for WHS with games of 76 and 66.
