Lady Astros overwhelm Lady Wildcats in opener 63-17

MOWRYSTOWN – East Clinton overwhelmed Whiteoak 63-17 Saturday in the season opener for the Lady Astros basketball team.

The non-league victory was the first in the varsity career of EC’s first-year head coach Jeff Craycraft.

Sierra Christian had 15 points, six rebounds and four steals to pace East Clinton to the victory.

The Lady Astros led 17-0 after one period and 27-2 at halftime. East Clinton outscored Whiteoak 22-2 in the fourth quarter.

Lacy Peterman had 13 points, seven steals and three assists. Mackenzie Campbell had 10 points, 12 rebounds and four assists.
