OWENSVILLE – The Blanchester reserve girls basketball team was defeated by Clermont Northeastern 40-33 Thursday in SBAAC play.

The Ladycats (1-3 on the year) trailed 7-3 after one and then 19-8 at halftime.

Holly Scott led Blanchester with 10 points and Lana Roy added nine.

Lilly Brown contributed six points and Caili Baumann chipped in with four. Maddie Wells finished with two points while Alex Buerkle and Becca Kratzer had one point each.
