Miami of Ohio had five of the top 39 runners Friday and won the JennaStrong Fall Classic women’s cross country race at Wilmington College.
Wilmington finished 29th in the 37-team field.
Brooke Gibbons, a Blanchester High School graduate, was the first member of the WC women’s team to finish. She covered the 3.11-mile course in 20:33, good enough for 83rd out of 343 runners.
