BLANCHESTER – The Blanchester reserve girls basketball team was defeated by Western Brown 41-25 Monday night.

The Ladycats (2-5 on the year) were led by Holly Scott’s nine points.

Lana Roy contributed seven for BHS and Caili Baumann had four points. Noelani Tangonan and Maddie Wells had two points each. Ashlin Benne chipped in a free throw.

Coach Elyse Pyle said her squad competed but fell behind a little bit in each quarter. The Ladycats will continue to work on improving their defense, Pyle added.
