Blanchester 7th grade girls win easily 41-15

The Blanchester seventh grade girls basketball team defeated Georgetown 41-15 Tuesday night.

The young Ladycats led 26-3 at halftime behind a stellar defensive effort, coach Julie Mulvihill said.

Kaidyn Hamm led Blanchester with 13 points, including a pair of three-pointers. Olivia Potts had six points, two rebounds and three assists. Emily Koch had six points, 10 rebounds and a steal.

Ainsley Whitaker, Hailey Mulvihill and Madison Tipton had four points each. Ainsley grabbed seven rebounds and came up with three steals. Mulvihill had eight points and Tipton pulled down four.

Bekah Davenport and Braylee Stanforth had two points each. Stanforth had six rebounds. Josi Wilson, Destiny Blankenbeckler and Makayla Lanham “also contributed to the win with their great defensive efforts, causing turnovers on our press and combining for several steals,” coach Mulvihill said.
