The East Clinton eighth grade boys basketball team defeated Williamsburg 52-40 Wednesday night.

Jared Smith led the Astros with 14 points. Landon Runyon scored 10 points.

Mitchell Bean tossed in eight points for East Clinton and Cody Chaney scored six points. Isaiah Curtis contributed five points, Chris Norman and Grant Stonewall chipped in with three points each. Dustin Henderson had two points.

Coach Brian Carey said his squad has struggled this season with playing as a team but they came together on this night to post the win over the Wildcats.
