The Blanchester eighth grade girls basketball team was defeated by Wilmington’s Rodger O. Borror Middle School team 30-18 Wednesday night.

Blanchester, 5-7 on the year, was led by Daelyn Staehling who had six points, two rebounds and two steals. Zoie Stanforth had six points, two rebounds and one steal.

Taylor Combs finished with two points, two rebounds and three steals. Madison Creager had two points, four rebounds and an assist. Grace Irwin contributed two points and two steals. Lacie Tedrick had four rebounds, an assist and two steals.

Emma Winemiller had an assist and a steal. Emmy Hodge grabbed a rebound. Dallas Allen played well defensively, coach Gary Stanforth said.
