WC women track, field 14th at Emory Invitational

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Wilmington College women’s track and field team finished 14th Saturday at the Emory Invitational.

On the track, Emma Burke was the only member of the Quakers to break into the top 10 of an event. She finished third in the 400-meter hurdles (68.18 seconds) and eighth in the 110-meter hurdles (16.84 seconds).

Lauren Stacy led the way for the team in the throwing events, earning third place in the discus (40.8 meters), third in the hammer throw (47.71 meters) and sixth in the shot put (12.31 meters).

Kayli Sullivan was 10th in the shot put (11.39 meters). Lisa Bailey was ninth in the long jump (4.94 meters)

The Quakers will be back in action on Friday at the Wittenberg Invitational.
