MLB Pitch Hit & Run competition April 7 at the park

The first round of the Scotts Major League Baseball Pitch Hit and Run competition will be held at the OSP Diamond at J.W. Denver Williams Jr. Memorial Park 10 a.m. April 7.

Boys and girls will be divided into four age divisions – 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14 – and will have the opportunity to advance through four levels of competition. Team championships will be held at Major League Baseball parks and the national finals will be held during the 2018 MLB All-Star Week.

The individual pitching, hitting and running champions, along with the all-around champion, in each age group at the local level will be awarded and advance to the sectional level.

All participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate and have a parent or guardian complete a registration/waiver form prior to beginning competition.
