BLANCHESTER – The Blanchester junior varsity baseball team defeated Wilmington 9-1 Tuesday at Bott Field on the BHS campus.

Trenton Czaika pitched five innings and struck out six.

“We played almost error-free baseball and had a strong performance from Trenton,” BHS coach Andrew Freeman said. “We did a good job to make the routine players and not let errors compound on us.”

Nick Bryant had two hits, drove in two runs and scored a run. Hayden Tedrick had a hit and RBI.

“We had a couple of big two-out hits to score runs in both the second and third innings,” Freeman said. “The bottom of our order really carries us with timely base hits and putting the ball in play to make productive outs.”
