Lang, Judge lead WC to first OAC win of season 10-9

WILMINGTON – With Jhordan Lang setting the all-time goal scoring record, the Wilmington College men’s lacrosse team won its first Ohio Athletic Conference match of the season Friday 10-9 over Heidelberg at Townsend Field.

Senior Jhordan Lang broke the all-time goals record for Wilmington College during the win, eclipsing Reid Delaney’s mark.

After playing to a 6-6 first half tie, Wilmington went up 8-6 on two third period goals by Connor Judge. Wilmington extended the advantage to 10-6 then had to hold off Heidelberg down the stretch to secure its first OAC win of the season.

While Lang had two goals, Judge led the way in the goal category netting four. Both Andrew Miller and Zac Chucta scored two goals as well.

Defensively, Michael Aquaviva had a stellar evening recording a team-high four caused turnovers. Jake Ladendorf had his best night in goal with 28 saves on 37 shots.

Wilmington (4-7, 1-4) will travel to Otterbein 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
