OWENSVILLE – The Blanchester junior varsity baseball team was defeated by Clermont Northeastern 12-11 Friday afternoon.

Blanchester trailed 8-0 then rallied to take an 11-8 lead going to the bottom of the seventh inning. The Rockets scored four in the seventh to win the game.

“This was a tough game to lose but one that was very exciting to be a part of,” BHS coach Andrew Freeman said. “CNE deserves credit for being able to respond in the way that they did and come back to win the game. It stings to lose a game like that after fighting so hard but it says a lot about our group of guys to be able to even get back in the game.”

Dakota Ware had two hits, scored a run and drove in a run. Trenton Czaika had a double, scored three runs and drove in two runs. Hayden Tedrick had two hits and scored a run.
