Ladycats 2nd at Blanchester MS Invitational

BLANCHESTER – The Blanchester Middle School girls track and field team finished second Thursday at the Blanchester Middle School Invitational at Barbour Memorial Field.

The Ladycats had 75 points and trailed only team champion Batavia who had 85 points. Clinton-Massie was sixth with 60 points in a tightly-packed top of the field. East Clinton was 11th.

Blanchester’s Emma Winemiller was a double-event winner, clearing 4-6 to win the high jump and leaping 12-9.5 to win the long jump. She also was second in the 200-meter hurdles in 35.13 seconds.

Clinton-Massie won the 4×400-meter relay in 4:49.76. Team members were Kenley Robinson, Ashley Doyle, Josefine Majdoch and Kylee Lamb.

East Clinton did not have any event winners. The top finisher was Carah Anteck who was third in the 800 and fifth in the 1,600.
