Stacy earns OAC championship in hammer throw

ADA – Wilmington College throwing Lauren Stacy had a strong meet Friday and Saturday at the Ohio Athletic Conference Track and Field Championship.

Stacy won the hammer throw with a toss of 48.27 meters, finished second in the discus (40.95) and eighth in the shot put (12.16 meters).

As a team, the WC women were ninth overall.

Zara Zeller was eighth in the hammer throw (40.36) and Kayli Sullivan finished ninth in the shot put (12.14 meters).

Lisa Bailey was ninth in the long jump (4.94) and Emma Burke finished 10th in the 100-meter hurdles (16.37 seconds) and ninth in the 400-meter hurdles (66.53 seconds).

The 4×400-meter relay team of Burke, Cheyenne Rhodes, Miranda Gibson and Mckenzie Hamm finished eighth in 4:24.83.
