WILMINGTON – Senior Skilar Jordan pitched a complete game and led Wilmington to a 10-0 win over East Clinton Saturday on Senior Day at WHS.
The win puts the Hurricane at 8-5 on the year.
Jordan struck out three and scattered five hits and four walks for Wilmington.
“We are starting to play complete games and it is making a difference,” WHS coach Dustin James said. “We continue to put the ball in play and put pressure on the other team’s defense. (In the last two games) our pitchers threw strikes and our defense was solid.”
Wilmington left eight runners on base in the first three innings, though, James said.
But Jordan Tackett led the offense with four hits, including a pair of doubles, as WHS banged out 13 hits.
Ben McAllister and Zack Eden had three hits and drove in two runs each. Jason Wilson had two hits and an RBI.
Austin Arellano had two of East Clinton five hits on the day.
