For the third straight year, Blanchester High School won the SBAAC National Division All-Sports Award.

The Wildcats baseball, tennis and girls track/field titles this spring put the school over the top, BHS athletic director Bryan Pennix said.

“I’m very proud of the consistent, competitive teams we are able to field during all three sports seasons,” Pennix said. “We have kids who are willing to work hard and the coaches who know how to get the best out of them.”

New Richmond won the SBAAC American Division All-Sports Award.

East Clinton tied for fifth in the National Division.

Western Brown was second in the American Division while Wilmington was third and Clinton-Massie fourth.

Blanchester also won the all-sports award in 2016-17, 2015-16, 2011-12, 2010-11, 2009-10, 2006-07 and 2004-05.

Each team’s final placement within the division for each varsity sport is assigned a number. The first place team receives the highest number, based on the team’s that participate in a given sport. The last place team gets one point.
